Legal assistance is provided as a defence counsel in all stages of criminal proceedings. In justified cases we are also prepared to file extraordinary remedies on behalf of clients, both in pre-trial stage (motion to the General Prosecutor pursuant to Section 363 et seq. of the Criminal Procedure Code) and against final decisions on merits, by filing extraordinary appeals with the Supreme Court or motions for re-trial. Filing of complaints pursuant to Article 127 of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic may also be applicable in these situations in order to object against violation of fundamental rights and freedoms of the complainant, as prescribed by international treaties, where in criminal proceedings, the violation usually concerns right of complainant to personal freedom guaranteed by Article 17 (1) and (2) and (5) of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic and right of complainant to liberty and security pursuant to Article 5 (3) and (4) of the Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
